![]() This Factorio Mod Spotlight goes over the Resource Spawner Overhaul (RSO) Mod for. If you want me to elaborate more on my desires, let me know. This Factorio Mod Spotlight goes over the Resource Spawner Overhaul (RSO) Mod for Factorio This Factorio Mod Spotlight covers the 30 New Science Packs mod. Impossible, the only place where you can download mods is the official. If you have one yourself, why do you have your settings the way they are, and what mods do you use along side it. (RSO + bobs + angels + prospector + boatload of other mods but none of them mess. Most of what i want is provided and done by RSO, which also makes me curious if presets still matter.ĭo you know of a good setting I could use, or do you happen to have a fun one yourself. Even using Big Brother mods often yield barely anything nearby in them huge squares, needing upwards to 4 to find any other extra resource (maybe I got unlucky with generation?). So it enforces trains to be used, since you need to travel further away to get your resources. The things seem too sparse and rare as it is now. RSO - ResourceSpawnerOverhaul, it rebalances the resource spawning so less resources are near you but the further you go out, the bigger the patches will get, but rarer too. The Miners were designed for use with AAI Programmable Vehicles mod and can act. I felt the current distance was a tad bit to wide, often having nothing nearby for many minutes till I finally come across, lets say stone. My desire is to have enough stuff nearby to get ready, but to have things in distance, which gets richer and more dense as you go out. Out of fear of messing out stuff, I often don't mess with the map mod settings of RSO. I understand (not really) most of the functions and I can never exactly find a good balance, so I wanted to know the various settings for others. This doesn't account for the observed difference, it must be somewhere else in the config. So actually it should be the newer RSO that completely removes the default spawns. To be able to download a mod, being logged in is required and the logged in user must own a Factorio license. If you receive information about not supported ores (will be printed after game start) please post in discussions tab and I'll try to add support for them (please write which mod adds the ores if possible).Hey there! I always liked this mod when it came to things since it legitimizes trains and makes exploring fun, however with the plethora of settings I do wonder how I could potentially change these to suit my needs. New RSO (1.5.0) says: overridetype 'full' - 'full' - no spawns by game are allowed, 'partially' - very small patches are spawned by world gen. The Mod API can be used to aquire various information about mods, as well as to download mods. You can get original functionality by changing RSO. This Factorio Mod Spotlight goes over the Resource Spawner Overhaul (RSO) Mod for Factorio This. In original mods they have special rules that spawn them in cold biome only for example those won't work. Install the Factorio Mod Debug extension in VS Code. Please be aware that RSO doesn't support some special placement options - so with RSO new biters can apper anywhere on map. Support is present for most of large mods (Bob's mods, Yuoki industries, Uranium power) and some of smaller ones. I've added support for both mods in new version. Mods that don't modify resources should work without problems. RSO also controls spawning of biter bases to make it easier for a player to move further into the wilds, but don't expect resources to be biter-free. ![]() About this mod Allows for easy download and installation of factorio mods. Enemy base frequency works normally (there will be more or less bases based on setting). Compatible with RSO, Space Exploration and Krastorio 2, and several other mods. Frequency set in map settings menu will make resource more or less frequent in comparison to other resources. Important - frequency of resources works differently with RSO active. ![]() As a bonus resources further away from start location will be more rich. Resources will be more sparse so more logistics will be required to supply your base. It changes resource spawning to be region based - by default regions are big which promotes using of trains. This mod overrides in-game Perlin noise based resource/units spawning system by region divided spawning system. If you want to play liek this you can use starting area richness multiplier in settings to make starting resources more dense. Starting area size multiplier is taken directly from map settings - using large values (like max of 6x) will result in a very big starting area with large distance to first non starting resources. Railword preset increases size of resources significantly - if you use it with RSO fields will be much bigger. RSO doesn't work with map preview - there will be no ores there with RSO active 6.2.23 (3 months ago) Factorio version: 0.14 - 1.1 Downloaded by: 116K users
